Amanda Stabler

8th Grade Counselor
Mrs. Stabler is excited to serve students as the Director of School Counseling and 8th Grade School Counselor at Lakeside Middle. She joined Lakeside Middle in 2022.
Before joining Lakeside, she was a school counselor at River Bluff High School. This will be Mrs. Stabler's 12th year serving students as a school counselor.
Prior to becoming a school counselor, she taught high school chemistry and physics for 8 years.
When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to travel to new places and visit the lake as often as she can.

Amy Long
7th Grade Counselor
Amy Long came to Lakeside the year the school opened and is excited to be here for the third year. This is her 15th year as a school counselor in Lexington One, and 13th year as a middle school counselor. She is certified as a school counselor for grades K-12, but middle school is where she loves working. She also serves as the Chair of Midway Elementary's School Improvement Council.
When she's not at Lakeside, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and sheepadoodle, Dolly. Mrs. Long loves to be outside: riding bikes, playing tennis, traveling to new places, walking her dog, or just hanging around a fire pit. She loves to read and sets a goal to read 50 books a year. She's excited to continue to work with her students as they move up to 7th grade this year.

Ashleigh Near
6th Grade Counselor
Welcome to LMS! Mrs. Near joined Lexington Middle in 2008 and opened Lakeside Middle in 20222. This is her 19th year as a school counselor. She finds middle school the most exciting! Mrs. Near will be the 6th grade counselor at Lakeside.
She has a degree from Clemson University in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. She then received her Educational Specialist degree in Counselor Education from USC. In addition, she received my Global Career Development Facilitator certification and National Board Certification.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family. They love spending time together outdoors, participating in sports and traveling to the Charleston area! They enjoy Clemson Football, Clemson Gymnastics and love watching The Braves.
