LMS School Counseling Program

The school counseling program at LMS is comprehensive and developmental. The goal is to operate with proactive and preventive measures. All students will receive school counseling instruction and services. The  program is based upon the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Program Model. This model addresses academic, career, and personal/social development.  There are three full time school counselors at LMS.

Lexington Middle School Counseling Program Mission Statement

The mission of the Lexington Middle School Counseling Program is to work in collaboration with home, school, and community to inspire, prepare, and empower students through a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program through the academic, social/emotional, and career domains that would allow all students to become productive and successful 21st century learners. Our mission supports the core standards of the American School Counselor Association national model, Lexington School District One, and Lexington Middle School.

Lexington Middle School Counseling Program Vision Statement

The students at Lexington Middle School are creative and collaborative 21st century learners who become career and college ready.   All students are leaders who are prepared to meet the challenges and high expectations of today’s global society.  The students are supported by a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program, with partnerships between the school, family, and community, which helps make them successful, self-directed, life-long learners.
