LMS Update 2-12-18

Hello, Wildcat parents!!  Here is the information your student received today in Mrs. Nester’s weekly email to them.  There are also some important items of information for you about upcoming events.
Hi, Wildcats!!
WednesdayFebruary 14
-To celebrate Valentine’s Day our LMS cafeteria will be offering a free cookie for every lunch purchased.
ThursdayFebruary 15
-Interim Time-Students should take this opportunity to go into PowerSchool reflect on their progress so far in quarter 3.
Friday, February 16
No School for Students
Looking ahead and important announcements:
-The week of February 19 will be ABCAB since school is now in session due to Hurricane Irma.
-On Monday, February 19 during ATL time, we will administer a student survey to students in Grades 3–12 in order to learn more about our students’ use of technology for learning at school and at home. It should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and is completely voluntary. The data collected from this survey will allow our district to analyze trends and adjust programs to better support our students.  Please refer to the letter linked here for more information.  Mrs. Amber will send out the link to you right before ATL.
-On February 22nd at 6:30 we will have a community viewing of the movie Most Likely to Succeed in the LMS Theatre at 6:30. When the district met with staff, students, community members and others during our strategic planning community meetings, they showed a 12-minute-long clip of a film called “Most Likely To Succeed.” After viewing that clip about the history of the American education system and new approaches to learning, many people asked if they could see the entire film. Well, here’s your chance! We will have popcorn so bring the whole family!
