Hello Wildcat Families,
We’re off to a great start in second semester. We are super-proud of the hard work our Wildcats are doing each and every day to learn and grow at Lexington Middle School.
There are lots of great things happening at LMS. Check out our newsletter by clicking here to see some of the amazing Wildcat accomplishments during first semester.
Monday, January 23 is our “Cage the Cougar” Basketball Night! Be sure to pick up your Cage the Cougar shirt from the front office for $10 and make plans to attend the girls’ basketball game at 5:30 and the boys’ game immediately following that one! Let’s go, Wildcats!
Lexington School District One Food Services is holding a seminar on the Summer Food Service Initiative on January 26th. Click here for more information.
Track information is on the website for 7th and 8th graders who are interested in trying out! Be sure to get your physical paperwork to Coach Graham by January 30th. Tryouts will be on February 6th and 7th. A parent meeting will be held on February 9th at 5:30 for all members of the LMS Track team.
The Miss LMS Wildcat pageant is coming! Be sure to sign up in Mrs. Arcovio’s Room (703). Paperwork is due to her by January 31st. The pageant will be on March 25th. We’re looking forward to seeing our Wildcats shine on stage!
Any 7th or 8th graders with Job Shadowing forms need to turn those into Central Services (formerly the District Office) as the school deadline for submitting forms has now passed. 6th grade parents who would like to participate in the “Bring Your Parents to Lunch” day on February 2nd should turn in their forms here at LMS by Friday, January 27th. If you need a new form, you can get one by clicking here.
This week, we were thrilled to learn that our Mrs. Ivey Homer has been named one of the five finalists for the Lexington One Teacher of the Year. We are so proud of her work and the joy she brings to the classroom each day!
Have a great evening! Thank you for being a Wildcat!
