Just a few things before we go on our holiday break!

Hello, Wildcats!

Here are a few important things to know as we head into the holiday break:

Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 20, students will be dismissed at noon and they will return to school bright and early on January 5, 2017.

The semester and 2nd nine weeks end tomorrow and report cards will go home on Thursday, January 12.

We also wanted to thank you all for your part in making our recent LMS PTO fundraiser a huge success.  The LMS PTO was able to raise $15,000 during the Fall Fundraiser! This money goes directly back into LMS and benefits the students in many ways. So far this year, the PTO has awarded multiple teacher grants that go towards professional development, classroom supplies, support of school clubs, new musical instruments and so much more! A climbing wall was installed in the multipurpose room earlier this year that benefits the Outdoor Education program. The PTO also provided digital learning tools for the school year.  Thank you for supporting our LMS PTO!

The Office of School Counseling and Advisement would like your feedback in order to help them make good decisions about Naviance and the components that best serve our students.  Naviance is a web-based tool that students have been using in school counseling lessons that enables them to do career exploration, academic planning, and college preparation. Please take a minute or so to complete the survey by clicking on this link.

On January 10 from 6-7 p.m., LMS will host an information session for parents about interpreting PSAT scores.  If your 8th grader took the PSAT in October, please plan to attend!  Contact Laura Peterson at 821-3706 with any questions.

Parents of 8th grade students are invited to attend an informational meeting on their child’s Individual Graduation Plan. School counselors will be discussing career information, 9th grade course selections, and general high school information.  The meeting will be on Tuesday, January 17 at 6:30 in the LMS Theatre.

Our Lexington Middle School Family wants to take this opportunity to wish you all a relaxing and safe break and holiday season filled with family and fun! We look forward to a great new year of learning and growing!
